Camel-colored coats and capes have been my current obsession.. "Secret Garden," as well! So have red coats! How pretty is that shade of red? I ALMOST bought this Sandro cape on sale from Net-a-Porter last week! (Um, what kind of poor person owns a $630 (full price) cape? Only in Korean dramas..) I DESPISE the rich mother character to the right, but I have to admit I like her outfit here. (I spy a Peter Pan collar!) Her hair is a different story, though. XD
Glove hat, crazy layers, printed tweed jacket.. LOVE.
Freakin' crazy chic European women.. They can wear a potato sack and still look sexy.

As much as I love androgynous and masculine outfits, I also love super feminine ones! Chunky jewelry, leopard heels, t-strap peep-toes paired with sheer socks, 70s-style skirts and blouses.. YUM!

christian siriano spring 2011.. KILL ME NOW.

Four months ago, at New York Spring 2011 Fashion Week, Christian Siriano debuted a collection inspired by "African, Indian and Chinese influences mixed with measures of elegant opulence," as described by paylessontherunway.com. While I wasn't a fan of the apparel, minus maybe this dress, I was immensely impressed by his line of shoes for Payless.

Siriano and Payless most definitely stepped up their game this season, as each shoe was more aesthetically and architecturally pleasing than the one before it. The neutral yet vibrant colors and fabrics used and curved platforms and HEELS (DYING!) constructed were like nothing I had ever seen before from Payless (or even Siriano). I can honestly say I'd wear every single shoe from this collection, as I can't stop drooling over them. Seriously.. Look at them! My only question is "When will these shoes be available online or in stores?!" WELL DONE, CHRISTIAN AND PAYLESS! x

SOOO, remember that themed shoot I worked hard on two weeks ago? WELL, the film came out blank. ==;; FML. But thankfully my friend Mico gave me another hour of her precious superhero time (She's studying to be a nurse.) to reshoot the film. :) We went a slightly different route this time, as it was too bloody cold to play dress-up outside, so I experimented a little with lighting and semi-comical outfits slapped together from Mico's fairly empty wardrobe.

I managed to snap a few digital photos on the side, so here's a preview of my project. The shots that I chose for my final project don't resemble the following photos at all but I thought these came out really cute. But then again, I'm biased, since I totz love this girl to death. I can't wait to shoot her for my Digital Photography class next semester.

Haha, enjoy the random 2NE1 music video at the end. 2NE1's new stylists seem to be filling their old stylists' big shoes pretty well. HOORAY (for that + CdG, Chanel Spring 2010 couture show hair, etc.)!!!!!

Yesterday morning, I shot my friend Mico for my final photography class project. I tried to incorporate a little bit of fashion into it, so there were, of course, outfit changes and semi-crazy makeup involved. I'm hoping to God they came out well, since my project is due super soon and I never know what to expect with black and white film cameras. Mico was an AMAZING model, though, so I'm really excited to develop the film tomorrow!

Sadly, I don't have too many digital camera photos from the shoot because I forgot to snap them before each outfit change, but I managed to take a few photos of the last outfit (which didn't actually include the coat in the real shoot). Haha, let me know what you think. ;)

This past Saturday, I went to Max Brenner's in Philly to celebrate a friend's birthday. There I consumed enough calories to be able to skip meals for the rest of the week.. or year. ==;;

Here are a few photos I snapped that night of what I ate and what I wore. I wasn't planning on wearing this dress at all, but I kind of scrambled to get ready AND I didn't want to outdress the birthday girl. LOL. I DID get to wear my new boots, though, so yay! XD

Mexican Spicy Hot Chocolate (Red Chili, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, & Pepper) -- It was SOOO delicious! I had always wanted to try this drink and thankfully it was tasty! It kind of burned my throat, through, but I'm Korean, so it was no big deal. ;) Chocolate Chunks Pizza with "The Works" (Marshmallows, Chocolate, Bananas, and Peanut Butter) -- I split this pie with three friends, but even among four people, it was difficult to finish. I loved the taste of the toppings, but the dough was a little mediocre. I have to try making this at home. I feel like it would be pretty easy and A LOT cheaper.

Please excuse my wrinkled dress. Oops.. I took these outfit photos after coming back to my dorm. Hehe, but how dope are my new boots? They're my current obsession; they make me feel six feet tall!

manhattan vintage clothing show

On Saturday Oct. 9, Arabelle and I attended the Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show. Simply put, it was F*CKING AMAZING. I had never been to a trunk show before that, so you could only imagine just how excited, flabbergasted, and nervous I was to be among rows and rows of vintage Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, and Comme des Garcons, to name a few. Actually, I only spotted one piece of CdG, which was pretty disappointing (and which Belle fondled shamelessly, LOL -- I tried to take a picture of it/her doing that, but the stand owner snapped at us before I had the chance. DAMN.), but luckily there were so many other gorgeous clothes there to distract me from that fact. Haha, it didn't take long for me to get lost in the clothes, both figuratively and literally (The space was huge!), that we ended up postponing our additionally planned trip to the FIT Museum to see the "Japan Fashion Now" exhibit. FAIL.. But it was totally worth it.

Now for the fun part of this post.. PHOTOS FROM THE SHOW c/o Arabelle! We weren't really allowed to take photos there, which explains the low quantity of pictures, but Arabelle managed to sneak a few, so here you go. Get ready to be blown away.

I even invested in a pretty dress that I can't wait to wear and show you! I'm thinking I'll wear it to class or nowhere special just 'cause I can. Dazed and confused looks from peers at my small school 100% welcome.

So, yesterday I was perusing Hipster Musings when I came across a rather dope brand called Black Milk, which sells a plethora of printed leggings, swimsuits, etc. I'd liken it to American Apparel but with simpler yet better designs (and hopefully quality) and excluding stand-alone articles of clothing (e.g. dresses and pants).

I found a handful of pieces that I would love to have in my closet (shown below), but unfortunately the price range of the line is slightly out of my student budget, though it isn't completely outrageous. GALAXY, STAR WARS, and X-Ray prints?! Someone, hold me.

hirsute of happiness

This past Sunday, I went to the City with some friends to see a live Comedy Central show featuring Hari Kondabolu and Jessi Klein. They were both hilarious, but Hari's jokes were more relatable, thought-provoking, and entertaining. Jessi's humor was.. Well, let's just say it was a little out there. ;)

Before the show, we grabbed a bite to eat at K-Town, which is one of my favorite places in New York City. I mean, where else can you find Korean bookstores, boutiques, restaurants, bakeries, and fro-yo shops, all on one street?

Concerning this outfit, I received some really interesting comments (and stares). As I was walking out the front door of my house, my bewildered brother asked me what I was wearing, to which I replied, "Hmm.. Granny clothes?" (And to which he wholeheartedly agreed.) Later, when I actually met up with my friends in K-Town, my guy friend nonchalantly referred to my purse as "hirsute," which is just a fancy GRE word for "hairy." Haha, now I'm never going to use the word "hairy." Why would I when "hirsute" sounds that much fancier? XD

Anyways, here are a few shots of what I wore that day. I FINALLY got to whip out my glitter tights that I've been dying to wear since last spring. Hooray for SWEATER (and tights) WEATHER!

..was my initial reaction when I came across this editorial on Fashion Gone Rogue two minutes ago, and I'm STILL in shock. THIS. SPREAD. IS. BLOODY. AMAZING.

I had heard that Freja was on the cover of Vogue Korea's September 2010 issue dressed in Comme des Garçons a week and a half ago through one of Arabelle's tweets, but I seriously didn't expect her to look THIS perfect in it. (Not that Freja can do any wrong, but still..) I need to call my grandma in Korea ASAP to buy/save me a copy till the next time I see her (which hopefully will be during winter break)! O. M. G. XD

Two days ago, I went to Red Mango with some friends to eat fro-yo (original topped with Fruity Pebbles and mochi), which was DELICIOUS as usual, and THIS was my casual, yet not-exactly-crappy-which-is-how-I-normally-look ensemble of choice. =P YUP.

Four days ago, my best friend and I went out to eat ice cream and do a couple of errands together. It was sooo hot that day, but I decided to wear the longest dress in my closet, in addition to one of the thickest pair of socks I own just 'cause I like the way it looked with my outfit. ;) Doesn't sound too smart, but what can a girl do when she gravitates toward certain pieces in her wardrobe that day?

I wish I could say I made this seared tuna with veggies, but my mom did. This is what I ate before going out. MWAHAHA.. YUM!

(I look so short here, but I was hunched over. haha..) I don't know why, but I've been obsessing over the socks/sandals look lately. My mom doesn't quite understand it, and she was like, "You can't complain about what I'm wearing when you wear stuff like that!" LOL. (But it's different when she wears something I don't like!)

Six days ago, I went out to eat Korean food, drink bubble tea, and go bowling with a few friends. While one of my friends and I were waiting for the others to arrive at the restaurant, we decided to take some pictures on one of the side streets of the downtown area. Actually, she just snapped a few photos of me. ;)

As you can see, I can't get enough of polka dots! I'm wearing polka-dotted shorts and socks AND sandals with a similar print.

This graffitied mailbox acted as a cool prop for this shoot.

I'm ABSOLUTELY obsessed with these new wedges. NO JOKE.

NOM NOM NOM. NakJi DolSot BiBimBap (낙지 돌솥 비빔밥), which one online menu describes as "small octopus and vegetables over rice in hot stoneware," is one of my FAVE Korean dishes. It melts in your mouth with the perfect amount of spiciness, heartiness, and deliciousness.

So, Tuesday was my 21st birthday, and my parents took my brother and me to Highlawn Pavilion, which had a lovely view of the City, to celebrate. It was pretty swanky (overpriced) there, but I had fun spending time with my entire family (which is actually rarer than you'd think), eating, and reminiscing about the past. Here are some photos from that night.

I wore this outfit on Sunday to watch the World Cup 2010 finals at my friend’s house and then to shop briefly at the mall for a friend’s birthday gift. I was so happy when Spain won (both because I have a bias toward Spain and because I didn’t want the game to extend into another overtime).

It was pretty hot outside that day and my friend’s mom asked me if I was hot (which I was, but I told her I wasn’t), but because I didn’t want to be bare on top (since my dress was pretty short and all) I decided to throw on this zebra print scarf I borrowed from my mom. The edge it added to my outfit ended up working out for me, although I felt sorta granny-like with a scarf wrapped around my shoulders — not that there’s anything wrong with that. I truly dig granny looks!

Last night, I went to see "Despicable Me" with a couple of friends. I had been anticipating this movie for MONTHS, and let me just say it did not disappoint! Oh, and you know that little girl Agnes (the one who screams, "It's so fluffy I'm going to die!")? Well, she was even cuter in the movie than she was in the preview alone. Seriously. ^^;;

Yesterday I found out about an interesting new movement at Google to promote fashion. Headed by Tony Wang of Post Fashionism, this fashion initiative, dubbed "GStyle," has been founded to improve the relationship between the technology and fashion industries. It sounds like a great opportunity for us, fashion bloggers. Two weeks and two days ago, my best friend and I went to Mitsuwa to eat and hang out. Mitsuwa is one of my favorite places ever! It's a great Japanese supermarket and eatery that sells everything from Pocky to taiyaki/boong uh bbang (붕어빵).

And since it's right by the Hudson River, we had an impromptu photo session outside. (Emphasis on impromptu, as I was dressed quite casually..) :) Here are a few photos we took that day.

A week and a half ago, my cousin from Florida came to visit Jersey, so we met up for dinner and ice cream. I had a ridiculously delicious burger stuffed with Monterey Jack cheese and topped with guacamole and salsa at The Iron Horse, which is known for their burgers. So mouthwatering.. I'm currently craving another.

Last Thursday, I went to a Taylor Swift concert with my friend Sheena. I had a nice time, considering how the concert date kind of crept up on me even though I bought my ticket way in advance, as well as how unsure I was of how much I was going to enjoy the concert because of my dying obsession with Taylor Swift. LOL. (Side note: It was LOUD at the concert. T-Swizzle has a lot of crazy loyal little fans.)

Why, hello there. It's been a (little) while. How has everyone been?

I've been kind of busy. I started a new internship with the PR department of a high-end skincare company. I also caught a cold. FUN! And last week I went to a Taylor Swift concert, where I nearly went deaf from all of her little fans. But I've been hanging out with my best friend a lot, ever since I got home, and staying away from annoying people/drama, which has been nice. XD

I hope to be updating my blog more often now that my sucky semester is over. But my new internship IS kind of demanding. haha.. I just hope to learn a lot from it and to be able to apply the experience to any future jobs. Who knows? I might be in PR some day.

Today I had a summer internship interview for the Accessories Department of a fashion magazine. My mom drove 2 hours to pick me up, 2 hours to drive me to the City, 2 hours to drop me back off at school, and another 2 hours to go back home. That's a total of 8 hours, people. CRAZY WOMAN. O_____________O I mean.. THANK YOU, MOM!

The interview went ok. =P The accessories editor was nice, and I had a lovely chat with her (but I was still a bit nervous). Obviously I hope I get the position, but even if I don't, it was a good learning experience. :)

Afterwards, I shared a cup of Pinkberry mango/regular twist froyo and later a Moe's Southwest Grill burrito with my mom. Both were DELISH. (As I write this post, I find myself craving another half of a burrito. NOM NOM NOM.)

Anyways, here's what I wore today. (I've only had 2 fashion magazine internship interviews in my life (both recent and at the same magazine but for different departments - HAHA), so I'm still a n00b at what to wear when it comes to the big day. I hope I didn't dress too sloppily. I guess when in doubt, wear a pencil skirt or trousers, but (since my wardrobe is pretty casual) I don't have the former, and the latter is a little too short, which is kind of why I cuffed them. MUST. GO. SHOPPING. SOON.)

Finally wore this blazer.. YAY! Boy, was it windy out!

Love this bangle so much.. It's so pretty! When my mom saw it, she was like, "Aren't you scared of those things?" I told her, "That's why it's around my arm and not in my hand (like a pet)." Not really funny, but DEF true.. XD

After my friend Arabelle tweeted about hating the H&M "Garden Collection," minus two pieces, I decided to check it out for myself. Turns out, I COMPLETELY agree! The collection is full of super cheesy floral prints and colors, in addition to some boring basics. I'm so disappointed. H&M usually has the cutest items, from blazers to SEQUINED HAREM PANTS, but this collection was definitely a snooze. My advice: don't even bother browsing.

Here are the best pieces (ONLY ones I liked) from the collection:

red floral appliqué dress, $39.95 (coincidentally one of the two pieces Arabelle liked) - I loveee the color and design.

It also comes in white, but the red one is more elegant and sexy.

red floral jacket, $59.95 (coincidentally the only other piece Arabelle liked) - I need to get my hands on this. Sixty bucks is a lot, but it's so gorgeous/amazing.

cream floral appliqué tank top, $17.95

JK. Sorta.. haha..

Yesterday, Arabelle of Fashion Pirates was kind enough to take time out of her busy high school schedule to meet up with a mere mortal like me. ;) We've been Twitter buddies for a little while, and we FINALLY got to meet in person (at a bubble tea place in Jersey City), which was nerve-wracking (as I'm VERYYY awkward and shy), slightly intimidating (because she's so brilliant and awesome), and really exciting (because we got to talk about our favorite things: fashion and KPop!) all at the same time. hehe..

After chatting for a bit, we hurried across town to Hello Again Vintage, which was really tiny but had super cute things for fairly reasonable prices (I picked up a nice turquoise and black silk vintage blouse there.), and then to Goodwill, where I picked up a tan-ish blazer. We didn't have a lot of time to shop because everything closes early in her 'hood, but I had a lot of fun chatting and shopping with her (even though I felt like such a lost tourist following her around - LOL).

Luckily, Arabelle brought along her super high-tech camera, and we got to take some outfit photos for our blogs (which kinda embarrassed me to do with her, since my blog is so n00b compared to hers AND I don't know how to pose XD).

Anyways.. Here are the photos we took. How adorable is she? I couldn't stop staring (somewhat creepily) at her rainbow hair and vintage beaded jacket throughout the day.

The title of this post is a reference to a song by Def Leppard, one of my favorite rock bands. Fun fact: Taylor Swift got me into their music. No, I (obviously) don't know her personally. I just started listening to them after she mentioned her obsession with them in an old interview.

I can't wait till next week. Spring break! I want to bake, shop, and see some of my home friends. In the meantime, though, I have lots of work to do. =/

Last year, I had the privilege of taking part in my friend Satchell Drakes' photography project which portrayed different emotions. Looking at the date of the photos, I realize it's been almost exactly a year since he shot these pictures of me. The outfit isn't my favorite to date, but the photos are definitely cool. I love the editing Satchell did here. haha.. Too bad I wasn't that great of a model.. --;;

I'm wearing an olive green Old Navy tank dress, black Target tights, a black lace H&M camisole, a black Ann Taylor Loft cardigan, gold jeweled ABS by Allen Schwartz bangles, a random NYC flea market silver peace sign ring, and a black Urban Outfitters rose ring.

Hmm.. If only I could collaborate with him again for my blog.. Then, my photos wouldn't look so n00b. Perhaps I should ask him..? lol.

BTW, from looking at these photos, I kinda miss my old hair.. I've been trying to grow it out, but now I'm tempted to chop it off and style it like this again. What to do, what to do.. ;)

It's been a few months since I've had this blog, and I've used it for everything from posting daily outfits and shopping haul pics to talking about red carpet events and fashion campaigns and collections (in addition to other random things). While I do enjoy blogging, I sometimes wonder how LAME my blog must seem to other people, especially the famous bloggers out there (not that they'd visit my site). Because of this, I never leave a comment like "Let's exchange links!" or "Please visit my blog!" on their blogs or Twitter accounts. And for the longest time, I didn't want to upload any pics of myself on this blog.

However, I have convinced myself that even if other people hate my blog or do not follow it, I'd at least have a personal log of what I've worn, which looks I liked on the red carpet and/or runway, what I've purchased, what I want to buy, etc.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still a bit insecure about my blog, but now, I (try to) worry about these things less. :)

On a lighter note, thank you to all 16 of my followers for following my humble blog. I really appreciate it!

I went out to a sushi buffet with my friends tonight, and let me just say it's a good thing I wore loose harem pants because I was SOOO stuffed afterwards. The food was really good, but I don't know if I could go to a buffet again any time soon.

I finally wore my new sequined harem pants from H&M, Steve Madden "Mystrroo" sandals, and Forever 21 top! :) My friend kept saying "Your pants are SOOO sparkly!" before and after dinner, and she even called me a sparkly ninja, which I definitely appreciated. :) I also wore a multi chain necklace from Jenna & Molly (a boutique in Long Branch, NJ) and black knee-high socks from Wal-Mart because it was so cold. (It snowed a little tonight.)

Can you believe it's almost February? It feels like 2010 just started!

Sarah Mower called Elie Saab's Spring 2010 Couture collection "a bit too fantasy-prom to cut it in Couture week." (style.com) While I understand what she meant, I have to admit I'd love to wear nearly every single one of his dresses. Elie Saab's line was extremely romantic and flirty, filled with muted pastel colors, flower-appliqué details, lace, and sheer fabrics; in other words, it was every girl's dream. I do wish the collection could've been a bit edgier, but I did like the following looks.

I loved all of these looks, but my FAVORITE look of the night was Diane Kruger's. That woman can do no wrong when it comes to fashion; she looked so elegant and flawless in that marigold, off-the-shoulder gown. I also LOVED Marion Cotillard's look. She looked STUNNING and def proved that you don't necessarily have to wear a gown to the SAG Awards to look like a goddess.

Man, I LOVE awards season. :) I know it's a stressful time for celebrity stylists, but it's always exhilarating to see what stars are wearing on the red carpet. Which look was your favorite?

Here are my favorite looks from Sunday's Golden Globe Awards. It was so hard to pick my MOST FAVE look, so I decided to post all of the ones that caught my eye. I thought Sigourney Weaver, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Kate Hudson, January Jones (minus the headband), Emily Blunt, and Drew Barrymore looked particularly amazing, though. I was not a fan of Julianne Moore's dress, but I did LOVE her earrings. I also liked Julia Roberts' necklace, even though I would like to have seen Julia more glammed up. For some reason, I liked Susan Geston's dress a lot, too. It was very retro, and the color was gorgeous. The cut of the dress wasn't the most flattering on her, but she still looked great. I went to the mall today to eat lunch at Cheesecake Factory with my good friend Nicolette and to WINDOW SHOP, but I ended up coming home with a handful of goodies. ==;; My bad.

I guess I went shopping "Before the Worst," a.k.a school, which starts again on Tuesday. ;P I wish winter break were longer! :( Oh, and please keep the victims in Haiti in your prayers and donate whatever you can to help them. (H&M is collecting donations for the UNICEF Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund and matching your donations 100%!)

new goodies from florida & the bahamas

So, yesterday I came back from a trip to Florida and the Bahamas. I flew down with my parents and brother last Monday to visit my grandparents and extended family for a few days and then to go on a cruise from Miami to the Bahamas. I had a lot of fun, but traveling for a week was pretty tiring. It was surprisingly chilly and super windy in the Bahamas, which was pretty disappointing. The first full day of the cruise, we went to Atlantis, where we swam at the water park and beach and jet skied for the first time. The second full day, we were supposed to visit Norwegian Cruise Line's private island, but we never made it due to the bad weather. =/ We couldn't even use the hot tubs on deck because of the horrible wind. But, I still had a good time with my family, even though I overate every day. @.@ I DEF need to hit the gym ASAP.. and stay there forever!

Before the cruise, I had the opportunity to shop with my cousin Gina (and brother Josh, who merely tagged along). We decided to visit some thrift stores to look for some cool pieces, but the stores we went to weren't great. I DID pick up a couple of pieces at the mall near USF, though, as well as at Target, on the ship, and at the airport. Here's what I got..

Heritage 1981 Beatles baseball tee from Forever 21, $18.90 + tax (Why am I such a sucker for Beatles shirts? I already have one!)

Forever 21 puff sleeve tee, $15.80 + tax (I saw this on Forever 21's website a couple of weeks ago and thought it was pretty. I love the design. I need to find a pencil skirt or black sequin harem pants to wear with it.)

Rodarte for Target skirt, $29.99 + tax (I know I said I wasn't completely impressed with the quality of (some of the pieces from) Rodarte's line for Target, but I DID like this mustard lace/tulle skirt. I'd still really like the black lace cardigan, but they're all sold out! T.T)

January 2010 issue of Vogue Latin America from the Miami Airport, $3.50 + tax (As much as I love American Vogue, I love "reading" Vogue from different countries/regions. This issue features the GORGEOUS Sasha Pivovarova on the cover. I heart her. Aside from the fashion, I particularly liked reading this magazine because it allowed me to review my Spanish. I've lost touch with the language in college after taking Chinese and neglecting to practice speaking it, but it was kinda fun reading a fashion magazine in Spanish. Maybe if I read one regularly my Spanish would improve.)

I took a lot of other pictures during my trip. I think I'll post a few in my next entry..? Ahh, I can't believe winter break's already almost over. I start school again next Tuesday. NOOO! :(

lanvin spring 2010 ad

I'm sure you've all seen Lanvin's new ad by now. Apparently it's a version of the following portrait shot many years ago by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, a Dutch fashion photography duo. In the original photo, the duo was kissing, but Matadin was removed from the shot to make van Lamsweerde appear as if she were kissing nothing. What do you guys think of Lanvin's ad? I'm personally creeped out, yet intrigued.

rodarte for target

So, like almost every girl in America, I went to check out the Rodarte line at my local Target on Sunday. By the time I got to the mall, which was around 4:30 p.m., a lot of pieces were already sold out, but I DID get to try on the nude slip dress I had been ogling ever since pics were leaked/released of Rodarte's collaboration with Target. I also tried on the gray cardigan with a detachable scarf.

While I was content with the overall design of the dress, I hated how the elastic waistband came all the way down to the middle of my stomach. It made me feel really uncomfortable, BUT I think the dress would've fit better/fine with a waist belt (preferably the leopard print one from the line which I sadly didn't see). The material was ok for the price, $39.99, but I wish the dress cost like $29.99 instead. Forty bucks is a little steep. The gray cardigan, on the other hand, fit me ok, but wasn't made of the nicest material. It was squishy and sorta cheap for the price, which was $44.99, but it wasn't necessarily rough.

Overall, the line was ok. I thought the lace camisole ($19.99) and the sequined skeleton dress were pretty decent in quality for their prices, but I didn't care for any of the t-shirts, which mostly seemed rough (material-wise). The leopard print lace dress was also a bit rough; however, I still wish I could've tried it on. Too bad there weren't any left in my size, though. I really wish I could've seen/tried on/maybe even bought the lace cardigan in every color (nude, black, and mustard yellow), as well, but there weren't any left in stock. BOO! :( Tavi's giving quite a few mustard yellow ones away on her blog, but I doubt I'll win one, since almost 900 people entered the contest! (I REALLY hope I win one, though.)

I didn't end up buying anything from the line because I'm pretty broke and because I didn't get to see/try on the entire line in person, but if Target restocks its stores with the line and/or I suddenly get my hands on a lot of cash (legally, of course =P), I might pick up a few key pieces like the lace cardigan and a few dresses. LALALA. We'll see.

Tonight I went out with my friends to surprise a friend for his birthday. We ate dinner at a Korean restaurant and dessert at Red Mango. I ended up eating soooo much food: SoonDooBoo JjiGeh (spicy tofu soup), cake, and a MEDIUM fro-yo with blackberries and mochi. CAN YOU SAY FOOD COMA?!

I wore my new black blazer by taikonku (that I got for $29.95!) from Anthropologie, jeans and a striped sweater from H&M, my mom's cashmere scarf by Sutton Studio, and brown combat boots from Steve Madden. It was freezing out, so I wore my long, puffy North Face coat on top. That def kept me warm. Hurray for North Face in the winter! :)

Uploading "large" pics has made me realize how obvious my imperfections and awkwardness must be to you guys. --;; ha. ha. ha. Oh, and the title of this entry is a reference to an instrumental track by Younha, a super talented Korean singer. I love her music.

P.S.: Yesterday, I also got this gorgeous "Belle-of-the-Ball" dress by Floreat for myself (on sale for $59.95) and this amazing "Merrymaking" jacket by Elevenses for my mom (on sale for $89.95) from Anthropologie. I LOVE these pieces a lot and can't wait to wear mine/steal my mom's. ;P I'm not typically a frilly, super girly dresser, but my dress (and my mom's cardigan) totally caught my eye that day, so I had to give in (even though I'm broke). Ahh, when can I win the lottery already? Life would be so much easier. Kinda.. LOL.

Kate Moss in a Dior gown at the British Fashion Awards (Definitely an edgier take on the LBD.. I wouldn't be able to pull it off.)

Penelope Cruz in a L'Wren Scott frock & Chopard jewels at the Westwood, CA premiere of Nine (This dress is so classy and timeless. I love L'Wren Scott.)

Fergie in a Camilla and Marc minidress at the premiere of Nine in Cali (I like the idea of this dress, since cutouts are usually sexy, but it fails to flatter her body. I love Fergie's shoes, though!)

America Ferrera (Kinda like the double shoulder straps..)

Mandy Moore in an Escada gown at the Dubai International Film Festival (I'm really digging this look. It's classic, yet fun, flirty, and edgy. The black lace and tulle materials enhance the design of this dress. I love Mandy's hot pink lips, too.)

Taylor Swift in Lorraine Schwartz jewels & a Daniel Swarovski clutch at the launch of VEVO in NYC (Love the shoulder detailing and overall simplicity of this dress.. Love T-Swift, as well!)

COOL STORY (WELL, AT LEAST TO ME):

Not expecting a response, I tweeted Mr. Gurung back "omg. that would be so cool!" (If you didn't know, I heart T-Swift.) I then tweeted Taylor "it's @prabalgurung's christmas wish for you to open up his fall 2010 collection show! please do it! :)" Much to my surprise, he saw my tweet and replied, "ur the best. Umm is she on T, ok i feel like i need to strt some campaign.imagine if she really walked my show? i mean." I kinda freaked out 'cause I LOVE him and was not expecting him to respond (though I totally was hoping he would - haha).. AND he said I was the best. (I know, I know.. I'm a LOSER.) So, I proceeded to tell him the most fan girl thing possible (though I meant every word), "omg. you just made my day by responding! ahh! huge fan. :) she IS on twitter, & she'd look amazing in one of your dresses! [heart]" He tweeted me back one more time, "aww thanks..i think so too. ;-)" I then ended the conversation by asking him to let us know if anything happens.

Just think. T-Swift on the runway in PG. AHH! :) Love it.

Ok, now back to reality, a.k.a. the ridiculous amount of papers I have to write. FML.
